| Item Description: | Attributed by the editors to an unknown Castilian author of the 13th century, who derived his text in part from the Etymologiae of Saint Isidorus, Bishop of Seville. Texts A and B, edited from Illuminated ms. 46, Biblioteca Nacional, Lisbon, and Ms. X. III. 4, Biblioteca del Escorial, respectively, name Saint Isidorus as author. A third ms. (l.7.979, Biblioteca Nacional, Madrid) was edited by Blázquez y Delgado Aguilera as the work of Saint Isidorus and published (Madrid, 1908) under title: Mapa-mundi Introd. en anglais, textes en espagnol |
